Miles Bridges just turned himself into the police after attacking his ex! Is his basketball career over?!

Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges just turned himself in to police, after an arrest warrant had been issued in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, for the NBA player following a protection order violation stemming from a domestic violence case last year. The Hornet’s star, alongside his attorney, turned himself into the Lincoln County Detention Center before being released on a $1,000 secured bond. The forward has been charged with violating a protection order, misdemeanor child abuse and injury to personal property! And although this was issued back in January, it was not served until last Friday which had a lot of people not only confused but concerned. Because of this, Bridges didn’t play in the NBA last season as he was sentenced to three years of formal probation, one year of domestic violence counseling, one year of parenting classes and 100 hours of community service.

Yet, after all of this drama Bridges signed a 1-year deal this offseason to return to the Hornets, and would only have to serve 10 games of the 30-game suspension handed down by the NBA after the league deemed he would get credit for 20 missed games as part of the suspension since he missed all 82 games last season. Last year, fans were shocked to hear what disgusting acts Bridges was accused of, he allegedly threw billiard balls at his ex-girlfriend's car, damaging the windshield, and threatening her. Bridges broke her wrist, her nose, fractured her eardrum, and gave her a concussion severe enough that she lost consciousness. This all occurred in front of two young children, scared and confused why daddy was hurting mommy. Additionally, due to children being in the car when the incident occurred, he is also charged with child abuse. The victim is Bridges' longtime ex-girlfriend, with whom he shares several children, and they are currently engaged in a custody dispute. When police and EMS arrived at the scene Bridges was gone, leaving his children to witness their mother being loaded into an ambulance and taken to the hospital for medical treatment. NBA fans all across the globe are furious that the Hornet’s are standing beside Bridges after hearing all that transpired.

Now, after turning himself in, Bridges is claiming his innocence. Bridges temporarily set his profile picture as Johnny Depp, and if you remember Johnny Depp faced a trial where he refuted claims of ever hitting 'any woman’. Meaning, Miles Bridges is saying that he is innocent, no matter what the reports are saying.

Ultimately, basketball is the furthest thing from importance when something like this happens, and if this is true, it is crazy that we are discussing him playing in the NBA. Do you think Bridges is trying to save face by claiming he is innocent? Or is his basketball career really over?
